Project
Mid-century kitchen and bathroom remodel in Mission Viejo
This kitchen and primary bathroom remodel in Mission Viejo embraced mid-century-modern style with clean lines and European flat-panel oak cabinetry. The homeowners wanted a more open kitchen connected to the dining area, so we removed a non-load-bearing wall, rerouted plumbing and electrical, and built a generous central island. The finished spaces pair oak cabinetry and a marble island with a spa-inspired primary bathroom featuring a freestanding tub and glass-enclosed shower.

The Homeowners’ Goals
The homeowners wanted a more open kitchen that connected to the dining area, with clean mid-century lines and a large island for cooking and gathering.
Our Approach & Work Completed
We removed a non-load-bearing wall to open the connection between the kitchen and dining area, rerouting plumbing and electrical to support the new layout.
We built a generous central island with a marble waterfall countertop, framed by custom European flat-panel oak cabinetry and a fluted range hood.
In the primary bathroom, we installed a floating oak vanity, a freestanding tub, and a glass-enclosed shower with vertical tile and brass fixtures.

The Result
The kitchen now flows directly into the dining area around a generous island, while the primary bathroom offers a matching spa-inspired retreat, both finished in the same warm, mid-century-informed palette.
